I have the same high expectations for all students in the TUHSD District as I do in my own classroom. I believe in academic rigor for all 4200 students, ensuring our graduates have proactive choices for their life after high school. I believe in fiscal responsibility and as a former litigator have the fortitude required to make responsible decisions to stabilize our finances, protect the seven period program and fairly compensate our outstanding staff in uncertain economic times. The best districts are defined by the leadership and vision of their Superintendent. In my 21 years as trustee I have worked with five superintendents and hired three. Last year I led the search to find Dr. Courtney Goode who is well on his way to taking TUHSD to new levels of achievement for all students. Dr. Goode and the District will benefit from a deeply experienced Board.
