Because the learning curve is too long and there's no time and money to waste
It's essential to save time in execution and reduce process errors, while responding faster to the customer with higher quality products. This is where PR Lean Consulting will help detect failures, design continuous improvement, support decision-making, and celebrate success.
PR Lean Consulting brings an objective view of challenges, foresight of errors and their consequences, and a faster learning and execution curve from a team with a proven track record.
In Portugal, it was only in the 1990s that personal computers became democratised, both in professional and personal settings. At the time, the reality was quite different — it was a struggle to correct a notorious mistake after typing pages on a typewriter. The arrival of word processors felt like a miracle. With the introduction of floppy disks and primitive hard drives, filing cabinets full of paper started to disappear. SMEs began to embrace automation, shopfloor processes became managed digitally, isolated indicators started being measured, and workplace safety and health gained momentum. The ultimate goal of the automotive industry was clear: output per minute and zero non-conformities.
Then came the internet, where access to information was no longer a privilege of those who owned heavy encyclopaedias but was suddenly just a click away. Everything began to be measured in kilobytes, megabytes of disk space, and megabits per second in data transmission. This was the golden era of process data collection, the explosion of Excel and databases. KPIs multiplied, statistical process control was applied, risk prevention was integrated, and non-conformities were no longer measured in percentages (parts per hundred) but in ppm (parts per million).
Today, we hardly think for ourselves — we delegate to artificial intelligence (accepting the inherent margin of error) the task of searching the internet and delivering answers at record speed and with unprecedented breadth. Fortunately, workforce training has never been higher, and decision-making mechanisms must be in place to deal with the immense diversity of daily events in industry. Digitalisation delivers information by the second, and we must do everything possible not to fail, since commercial margins are slim.
We have lived through all of this, but our clients have neither the time nor the resources to waste. We put all our technical expertise, training, and industrial experience at the service of our clients’ competitiveness — so they can gallop ahead while their competitors are left trotting behind.
