Teaching

I have taught three courses at undergraduate level at Ashoka University (2020 to 2021). Below are the textbooks I used and some of the exams/assignments I used for instruction.

1) Environmental Economics

This was an inter-disciplinary introductory course on Environmental Economics. It combined journal articles, popular news articles and podcasts/documentaries. While the main focus was on air pollution other themes were also touched upon like cost benefit analysis, climate change etc.

2) Statistics

Aimed at undergraduates this course introduced statistics to Econ students. I used Miller and Miller for core theory and for interesting examples/applications I used David Speigelhalter's The Art of Statistics.

3) Introductory Econometrics

This course was an undergraduate level introduction to Econometrics, which is used to explore and estimate economic relationships. The course began with the Classical Linear Regression Model and extended to cases where the model assumptions are violated. Data analysis was a key component throughout the course so STATA was used often for exploring various datasets. I used Introductory Woolridge as the core textbook and used many datasets from the book along with many self-created datasets for instruction.
