About

On July 21, 2008, two proprietors named Ms. Arlyn L. Basquez and Mr. Apolonio B. Basquez decided to establish a training center that offers a mission to help individuals to acquire knowledge and developed skills in hairdressing and beauty care expertise named Arlyn L. Basquez Academy of Beauty, Inc., located at GGO Summit Bldg., Cabaguio Ave., Agdao, Davao City. Ms. Arlyn then trained her salon staffs and later accepted outside enrollees.

After the many batch trainings conducted, Ms. Arlyn was encouraged to apply with TESDA to become an accredited skills trainer herself. She took up AM/TM course in Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center on July 09, 2009 before she received her assessment qualification as National Certificate NC II and Beauty Care NC II at TESDA General Santos City Assessment Center. Then on November 5, 2012, she updated the TML I at TESDA Korea-Philippines Vocational Training center in Barangay Tibungco, Davao City.

On June 2013, the ALB Academy of Beauty at GGO Summit Bldg. is totally unpaid due to the expiration of a rental period for a five-year contract since 2008. The couple decided to relocate their academy of beauty to Roxas Avenue to maintain their education through hairdressing and beauty care. Later on, they apply for an accreditation with TESDA to become a Technical & Vocational Training Center and Assessment Center, passed all the requirements and got its license on December 10, 2013. They renamed it into Arlyn L. Basquez Academy of Beauty and Assessment Center. Since this renamed technical-vocational establishment catered assessment for the National Certificate NC II for Hairdressing and Beauty Care NC II and Hairdressing NC II, a fully accredited assessment training center and operated to its new owned building with its address at B19 L22, Brgy. 32-D, Pag-Asa St., Roxas Ave., Davao City.

Seven years later from 2013, Ms. Arlyn decided to terminate the institution by renaming their technical-vocational academy into something bigger that can widen the institution of hairdressing and beauty care for all Filipino audiences from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Then came Philippine Hair and Beauty Life Skills, Inc. Mr. Henrico Paolo L. Basquez, son of Ms. Arlyn L. Basquez, came to sign his position as the president to expand their institution for his family legacy and his mother’s salon business to provide a lifelong history of their family business ventures.
