The Pine Bush Teachers' Association is a labor union of over 400 active members representing the teachers, guidance counselors, nurses, physical therapists, school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists in the Pine Bush Central School District. As an association of professional educators, we work with over 5000 students from pre-K through 12th grade in seven different buildings. Affiliations:
We are a proud local chapter of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and affiliated at the national level with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the National Education Association (NEA), and the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
Structure:
The PBTA leadership consists of two bodies: the Executive Board and the Representative Council. Elections for each position are held every two years.
The Executive Board meets the second Tuesday of each month and is composed of the following:
Five officers--President, Vice President for Member Services, Vice President for Labor Relations, Secretary, and Treasurer
One Head Building Representative from each of the seven buildings
One non-voting Past President
The Representative Council meets the fourth Tuesday of each month and is composed of the following:

Faculty representatives from the retiree chapter (PBTARC) and each of the seven buildings (there is one faculty representative per every twenty members in a building)
