Strong Values, Strong Leaders...Character Counts
For over 38 years, Cub Scout Pack 609 has welcomed Kindergarten through 5th grade children interested in learning scouting basics. We are a Family Pack, with Dens welcoming both Boys and Girls, meeting on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm during the school year. Scouts enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year, including Raingutter Regatta races, Pinewood Derby Races, campouts, and much more. Belonging to a Cub Scout Pack promotes personal growth, community engagement, and lasting values where lifelong friendships can be formed.
Family-Centric Fun: No more dividing and conquering on weeknights. Because we are a family pack, both boys and girls can participate in the same pack events, making scouting a shared family adventure.
Character & Leadership: We don’t just teach outdoor skills; we build character. Through the Scout Oath and Law, kids learn trustworthiness, kindness, and citizenship.
Hands-On Learning: From building Pinewood Derby cars to learning basic first aid, scouts learn by doing, boosting their confidence and problem-solving skills.
Screen-Free Adventures: We swap tablets for campfires. Your child will experience hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors right here in Texas.
