GDPR

As you are probably aware, new regulations to safeguard personal data were introduced nationwide on 25th May 2018. Please follow this link to the Diocesan Privacy Notice:

General Data Protection Regulations [GDPR]: Because our live-streamed Masses are available on-line on the day and for several weeks afterwards we are governed by the requirements of the GDPR. This means that all Clergy, Altar Servers, Ministers of the Word and of the Eucharist whose faces appear on the live-streamed Masses, are required to give written consent; everyone undertaking those ministries will be asked to complete consent forms which will be held securely in the Parish Office once completed. Our live-streaming camera is forward focussed so only the backs of parishioners are visible during most of the Mass; however, to ensure that the faces of those returning from Holy Communion are not visible on camera live-streaming will be refocussed so that only the Priest and/or Minister of the Eucharist will be visible during the distribution of Holy Communion. Any other parishioners concerned that their faces may be visible or who do not want to appear on live-streaming, should sit in the 5 rows of pews at the back of the church. Whilst this new requirement may seem onerous, GDPR is a serious issue and there for our protection.
