One way the experience differs for teachers and students is that teachers can reveal embedded, point-of-use Teacher Notes and additional support by by turning Teacher View to ON in the toolbar.
Teacher Notes and additional support can include instructional strategies, background information, support for labs and hands-on activities, answer keys or suggested responses, and more.
Turning Teacher View to OFF hides all Teacher Notes and other teacher-only content, so the Techbook concept is displayed as students would see it.
You can access Teacher View at the top of the Toolbar, located on the right-side of each concept page.
The Concept Dashboard displays formative student data from the Explain and Elaborate tabs. Data updates in real-time, so you can immediately review student responses and determine which students have not yet completed an activity. Responses are automatically scored and color-coded as No Points, Some Points, All Points, Not Answered, or Needs Score. Select any score to see the details of the student response, or select the student name to see tabbed details for each question.
The Course Assessments Dashboard provides quick access to the summative assessments in the course. This includes the unit assessments. From here, teachers can assign the assessments or, if already assigned, can view assignment details and results.
Unit Assessments—assignable in English and Spanish—provide a series of Technology Enhanced Items (TEIs) aligned to performance expectations for the unit of study.
