About the SGA

Every student at NMIMT is a member of the Student Government Association (as long as that student has paid his/her student activity fee). As such, all NMIMT students are entitled to the benefits provided by the SGA. In the drop down of the “About the SGA” tab, are the New Mexico Tech students who have taken upon themselves the responsibility of running the SGA government. The SGA is broken into three branches: the Executive Branch, the Judicial Branch and the Legislative Branch.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is comprised of the President, their Cabinet, and three Executive Agencies: Paydirt, SAB, and KTEK.

Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has five members: one Chief Justice and four Associate Justices.

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch is comprised of the Vice President, the Secretary, and 21 seated Senators. The Senate has 4 standing committees: Finance, Public Relations, Club Advisory, and Legislative Standards.
