Hello! My name is Mrs. Boland, and I am a teacher of English at Eastside High School. I am actually an alumna of Eastside myself, class of 2008, and a graduate of Winthrop University, magna cum laude, class of 2012. I studied English with a major concentration in Medieval Literature at Winthrop, as well as studying the Gothic and Modern Poetry at the University of Stirling, Scotland. I am the mother of a beautiful 7 year old daughter and 2 rather dog-like cats. My areas of personal interest include Gothic literature, Dystopian YAL, historical fiction, spoken word poetry, mythology, and the Fairy Tale. I am very much looking forward to teaching at Eastside! Go Eagles!

Tutoring 

School-sponsored tutoring will be available after school in the library - details to be determined based on funding and teacher availability. Check on student backpack and announcements for news on the schedule in the first weeks of school. I am also available for extra help and tutoring on an appointment-only basis. If you are struggling with an assignment or skill, simply send me an email or speak to me in advance of the day you wish to stay after, and I can make arrangements to meet with you either in the morning or afternoon.
