To promote the development of the biotechnology and medical industry, the Ministry of Economic Affairs will invest over NT$10 billion in R&D across four major areas: nucleic acid drugs, cell therapy, digital healthcare, and CDMO. Nucleic acid drugs are a relatively new research area that has proven its applicability during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is expected to create many job opportunities in Taiwan now and in the future. If you are still hesitant about your future research direction, feel free to visit our lab. 我們的研究重點是mRNA療法的開發,包括針對COVID-19(SARS-CoV-2)、SFTSV(發燒伴隨血小板減少症候群病毒)和登革熱病毒的mRNA疫苗,以及基於CRISPR-Cas9基因編輯的mRNA癌症治療和核酸癌症疫苗,實驗內容涵蓋大腸直腸癌、攝護腺癌、黑色素瘤、乳腺癌等。此外,我們也與國家衛生研究院(NHRI)合作,利用微陣列西方墨點法(MWA)技術研究抗轉移和抗血管新生的生物標記。
Our research is focusing on the development of mRNA therapeutics, including mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2), SFTSV (Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome Virus), and Dengue virus, as well as mRNA-based cancer treatment by CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and cancer vaccines, including colon cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, breast cancer, and so on. Moreover, we are also paying attention to the investigation of biomarkers for anti-metastasis and anti-angiogenesis through Micro Western Array (MWA), collaborating with NHRI (國家衛生研究院).
