The Great Maungakaramea Bake Off and Fete is happening on Saturday 26th October.

Think Christmas is far away?  Don't you believe it. . We are looking for  great crafts people, up-cyclers and artists with an amazing array of creations to fill the biggest sleigh or littlest stocking. We had over 40 stalls last year. Local craftspeople are going to be showing off their incredible talents and you can take advantage of these. Clever craft by clever people. 

If you have a special hand crafted product we encourage you to take up a stall for this event. Our stall holder registration can be completed on the registration page. 

If you want to fundraise for your community group please come along and set up a stall. There is a separate form for you. People’s imagination is going to be the driver!

The inaugural event was held in 2020 and attracted hundreds of locals, with the profits donated to the Maungakaramea Sports Complex.

Organiser- Tracy Kelly is encouraging anyone from anywhere to set up a stall and enter their own products,  along with stalls there is the ‘bake off’ side to the fun event!

“Cakes, flans, biscuits, preserves and more are judged by the home economics teacher from our local Tauraroa Area School and it’s worth remembering that this is open to adults as well as children. For those happy to, we then auction the goods off to help pay for next year's event. "

“The only stipulation for a stall is that any produce or craft being exhibited or sold has been made, crafted or grown by the stallholder,” says Tracy.

“There will also be many more opportunities as the ‘Fete’ expands, from hoopla, horseshoe toss, golf chip, candy floss and more.

We need street food stalls too, so if you're into making burgers, pancakes, Indian, Mexican …… whatever …… I'd love to hear from you.

Live music has been a mainstay of the event and we encourage you as performers to book some stage time to show what you can do.
