School and CREATIVE ARTS Programs
The largest allocation of MEPTO funding each year is towards enrichment-bringing in outside educators and performers to the school to complement and enhance the curriculum. This is coordinated through joint effort of the schools and our Executive Board School Liaisons. Programs can occur in the form of field trips, large group assemblies, small scale presentations, or workshops in support of, and coordinated with, specific areas of grade-level curriculum.
The following highlights some of the special assemblies and other in-school activities we have sponsored:
The Ooch Experience (K & 1st Grade)
McGovern Field Day and Rhythm Room (Pre-K, K and 1st Grades)
Southwicks Mobile Zoo (1st Grade)
Birthday Books (PK, 1st, 2nd Grades)
