Melvin Meyer

Welcome to my page!
Hello, I’m Melvin Meyer, a geoscientist with a passion for exploring the depths of the Earth. With a BSc, Honours, and MSc (cum laude) in Applied Geology, I’ve gained hands-on experience as a hydrographic surveyor, mudlogger, and mine geologist, working across South Africa, Namibia, Angola, ,Congo and Gabon.

I specialize in geological mapping, petrophysics, rock physics, and geospatial analysis, and I’m skilled in tools like QGIS, Petrel, Interactive Petrophysics, Global Mapper, and Python. My drive is to combine geology and data science to unlock smarter, more sustainable resource solutions.

When I’m not out in the field, you’ll find me hiking, fishing, working out, drawing or enjoying some downtime with Netflix or gaming. I’m excited about the future of geology and eager to see where this journey takes me.
