Research interest

I am particularly interested in addressing fundamental challenges of autonomy, safety, and security in autonomous vehicles and intelligent transport systems. To achive that, I have been developing a systemetic approach that integrates Automatic control, Bayesian inference and Decision making (ABD) techniques seamlessly. Currently, my specific research topics include:

  • Bayesian estimation methods with applications in target tracking;
  • Standardise safe and autonomous decision and planning procedures for intelligent transport systems;
  • Safe localisation/tracking of autonomous vehicles under adverse networked environment;
  • Applications of autonomous vehicle platforms in environment monitoring.

Turning mathematical and theoretical insight into enhanced performance of real-world physical systems is an important and driving facet of my work.
