What is the PAC?
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) exists to support Katzie Elementary by contributing to + enhancing the educational experience for students.
We work with our school principal and staff on parental views about school programs, policies and activities
We organizes PAC Activities, Fundraisers and Events
We promote and appreciate the involvement of parents and other community members
How Can I Help?
Get involved! Come to our meetings. Contribute your ideas. Volunteer! This is your school, these are your children, and this is your PAC.
The benefits to attending are that you will be kept informed of what’s happening in the school and give your children a sense that their parents care about their education. During PAC meetings we also take votes on decisions… PAC member’s votes are critical especially when it comes to allocating on how to spend the funds provided by the government and via our fundraising!
Research shows that children perform better at school when their parents are involved!
Spending as little as 5 hours a year volunteering for the school goes a long way, and keeps you connected to your amazing school community!
