About me
She believed she could, so she did. I guess doubting myself too much led me here.
Hello! I am Novelyn Joy C. Barbosa, a fourth-year student taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. My journey in joining the SEA-Teacher Project has been nothing short of transformative. Would you like to hear more about my experiences and the lessons I've learned along the way? Let's embark on this adventure together!
Let's start with meeting my siblings for a month. Josh, Yesh and Aldrin.
We booked a flight with 1 international flight (Manila - Singapore), and 2 domestic flights (Singapore - Surabaya - Banjarbaru). After our long flight, we were picked up by one of the faculty members under English Department of UNISKA Universitas Islam Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari. UNISKA is the receiving University that works hard to find a school where we were deployed.
Welcome Program
During our first week, we were warmly welcomed by the faculty of SMAN 1 Alalak. We also met our buddies and cooperating teachers and took a quick campus tour. I was amazed at how approachable and respectful the students were towards us. My first week as a SEA Teacher was full of wonders. Now, let's explore my wanders.Â
