St Augustine's Church, Kilburn

In the old days when my father was still alive, he was a yard man for the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway, which was a short-line railroad that rolled out from the city southward, to the small town of Northfield. On 4 September, 1876 this little town was visited by a group of orneries called the Jesse James-Cole Younger Gang and didn't wait around to fight back---the Gang was met by armed local citizens, who drew them out in a short but bloody gun battle on Main Street.
