Changwook got his undergraduate and master degrees in Material Science and Engineering (1999/2001) at Seoul National University and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2012) at Purdue University. From 2003 to 2007, he worked for new memory research and development in the Advanced Technology Development Team at Semiconductor Research Center, Samsung. After his PhD in 2012, he moved on to the Computational Science and Engineering Team at Innovation Center, Samsung.  There he had investigated physics/technology of advanced logic devices to support commercial  foundry business, and has recently explored bridging physical simulation and AI to overcome challenges of conventional physical simulation, before returning to academia in 2022.
