General Information

Purpose

The purpose of the conference is to stimulate research and foster interaction of researchers interested in matrix theory and related topics. It is our hope that the conference sponsored by the two research centers at the Sungkyunkwan University and the Shanghai University will provide a convenient platform for the exchange of research experiences and ideas from different research areas related to matrix theory.

Registration and deadlines

  • By November 15, 2017, please submit the following information to Registration page or Chi-Kwong Li (Email: ckli@math.wm.edu)
  • The deadline was extended to November 25, 2017.
  • The title and abstract of your talk .
  • Your date of arrival and departure.
  • Accommodation needs.
  • (a) Do you need a single room, a double room (one large bed or two beds, or more than one rooms for your family members?
  • (b) If you come by yourself, and want to share room, please indicate that you are male or female.
  • Indicate your other constraints on food, accommodation, etc. if there are any.

Venue

  • The conference will be held in the N-center and Chemistry building of Sungkyunkwan university.
  • Free shuttle to the hotel and from the venue in SKKU. It takes about 30 min.

Visa

Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the South Korea must have a valid passport and, if necessary, obtain a Korean visa prior to entering Korea. However, many are permitted visa-free entry for a limited time under certain conditions. Nationals of those countries or regions with which Korea has signed a visa waiver agreement can enter without a visa, on the condition that they do not engage in remunerative activities during their stay. The homepage of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides information on which countries citizens require a visa.

Excursion

The excursion will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, December 17.

The conference excursion will be to Seoul city tour (National Museum of Korea) and Nanta Show. The excursion includes coach travel to the Ibis hotel and from the venue, a packed lunch, entry to the National Museum and Nanta show. Ticket costs KRW 60,000 per person.

There is limited availability, 40 for one bus and tickets are on a first-come first-served basis. The excursion can be booked at the registration page.
