Elected as a trustee in Seven Oaks Ward II In 2014, I look forward to continuing to serve the students and families of The Maples, Amber Trails, Riverbend, River Ridge and River Grove areas.

My service as a trustee is informed by my life growing up, and my career as an early years teacher, all in Seven Oaks. Most of my career was in The Maples where it was exciting and fulfilling to work with diverse individuals and become part of many families.

Families are the strength of students and the strength of Seven Oaks School Division. I believe the culture of Seven Oaks, based on relationships and real connections between students and teachers, students and curricular areas, the arts, physical activities and outdoor learning, contribute to our graduates being educated, well-rounded, compassionate citizens.

I am committed to making our schools the best they can be while maintaining the cost savings for taxpayers in spite of the financial restraints posed by our low commercial assessment.

I will work with the board and our Superintendent’s team to advocate for new schools, needed additions and repairs, and common facilities that make being a student in Seven Oaks a rich, educational experience.
