Ice Harvesting Presentation by local historian Ken Ethier.

Ice Skating at the Town Beach including a bonfire with DJ and concessions. Free S'mores Kits for toasting! Thank you to all who attended!

Events for Independence Day Celebration; parade at 12:00; events on the field 12:00-9:00; Fireworks at 9:30! This year's display will be larger than the typical fantastic display!

Summer Concert Series continue on Thursday evenings as usual


September 17, 2022

Parade at 9:30; water ski show immediately following; food trucks and family-friendly games and contests on Connie Mack Field from 12:00-3:30. Old Time Baseball Game 4:00-6:00. Tethered hot air balloon rides 3:00-6:00.

PARADE: Route 9 will be closed from Harrington Street to the Clam Box. North Brookfield Road will be closed from Route 9 to the NB town line from 9:00-12:00. Plan accordingly! Parking is available at Lamoureux Ford and at Howe Lumber with free shuttles to the downtown area. Food trucks serving breakfast, coffee, lunch and snacks will be behind the fire department. See all the bands, marchers and floats by going to our FaceBook page: "East Brookfield's 100th Anniversary Celebration!" The parade will also be live streamed on Facebook.

Water Ski Show: Holland Aqua Riders will be performing on the south end of Lake Lashaway immediately following the parade.

Family Fun Day events: Along with food trucks and community organizations, there will be family-friendly games set up on Connie Mack Field as well as a variety of contests. Sign up a team for the Potato Sack Races at 12:30, Egg races at 1:00, Three-Legged Races at 1;30, a Tug-Of-War at 2:00 and/ or a Pie Eating contest at 2:30! Or see the Life Flight helicopter fly in at noon; it will stay until 2:00. Tethered hot air balloon rides for $10 per person will take place from 3:00-6:00.

Baseball Game: East Brookfield and North Brookfield face off in a fun old time baseball game to wrap up the day's events!


While most of our events are free due to the fundraising we have done over the past several years, there are some events that require a fee. You can pre-order tickets to any of these events. Make checks payable to “East Brookfield 100th Anniversary” and mail to: Heather Gablaski; 275 Howe Street; East Brookfield, MA 01515. Payment through Venmo accepted as well (@Heather-SillimanGablaski) Tickets for these events will also be on sale at the Historical Museum, the library, and at all of our events in 2022.

LIGHT THE TOWN EVENT!

The 100th Anniversary Committee and the Fire Department will help kick off the holiday spirit with decorations on the town hall, Hodgkins Building and Fire House. We invite ALL East Brookfield residents to take part in decorating your home. First and second place prizes in the form of gift cards to local businesses will be given in three categories: Traditional Elegance, Creative Inflatables, and Clark W. Griswold. There will also be one GRAND PRIZE winner. Judging will be on December 17 and 18.
