In-Class Dress Rehearsal Sat Dec 9th - Friday Dec 15th at the dance studios.
Please bring all costumes, accessories, tights, and shoes to your ballet classes. You can wear your costume on top of your regular dance clothes.
Full Day Schedule on Sat, Dec 16th at Christian Heritage Academy
1. Dancer Drop-Off
Please send snacks/lunch with your child on this day and a water bottle. Dancers will be supervised for the full duration of the day. Parents do not need to accompany dancers. Enter through doors S1 or S3 - these are the doors to use for both dancer drop-off and when arriving for the performance. (Building S is the South building, right of the main driveway entrance.) you will make your way to the lobby where you will be greeted by a DMA staff person who will then direct you and your child/children to their dressing room for check-in. 2. Tech Rehearsal
Tech rehearsal will happen in three groups. Your call time and group is listed in this spreadsheet. Once a dancer arrives, they will remain at the venue through the performance and will be supervised at all times by DMA staff.
9:30am, Group 1 arrives for tech rehearsal. Group 1 will have down time in between tech rehearsal and dress rehearsal during which they can complete their makeup. Or, they may arrive with makeup already completed. This is a break time to eat.
11:15am, Group 2 arrives for tech rehearsal. Group 2 will have down time in between tech rehearsal and dress rehearsal during which they can complete their makeup. Or, they may arrive with makeup already completed. This is break time to eat and do provided activities like coloring and playing games.
12:15pm, Group 3 arrives for tech rehearsal. Group 3 must have their stage makeup already applied when they arrive.
3. Dress Rehearsal
2:00-4:00pm. This functions just like the show. Dancers will be in costume and full hair and stage makeup for this.
4. Performance
5:00pm. Show will end before 7pm.
5. After the Show/Departure
All dancers need to be signed out with a parent after the performance. The dancer check-out process is as follows:
Immediately after the show ends, an announcement will be made asking that one parent return to the auditorium at 7:00pm to collect your dancer/s. We will seat you in a specific section of the auditorium, based on which arrival group your dancer was in (Group 1/9:30am, Group 2/11:15am, or Group 3/12:15pm. If you have more than one dancer and they are in different arrival groups, sit in the section of the earliest group time).
Dancers will be returning their costumes in the dressing rooms as soon as the show is over. (Since dancers arrive in the dress code clothes, they should have regular clothing on top of that, that they can change back into after the show.)
You will not be able to take a picture of your dancer in costume after the show. Please plan ahead! Take photos in costume at home before you leave, or you can arrive early to take a photo of them in costume in front of the step and repeat in the lobby. There is also the professional photoshoot at the Glenview Studio on Sat Dec 9th.
