Dodge Walk-Through

Everyone has a ball. Line up in a single line, an arm and stick’s length away from the next person. Do both dodges starting in both hands.

Split Dodge: With your stick in your non-dominant hand

1. Take two steps forward.

2. Take a hand jab step in the direction you want to bait your defender.

3. Take a long side step to the other side as you pull your stick across your body, from shoulder to shoulder.

4. Switch the position of your hands so that you are dominant-hand up.


Roll: With your stick in your non-dom.

1. Take two steps forward.

2. Stutter step so that your dominant foot is slightly ahead.

3. Take one big roll step with your back foot, protection the stick with your torso.

4. Switch the position of your hands as your finish your roll step, so that you are dom-up


Start at a walking pace, then jog, run, sprint, as they get used to the steps.
