Taehyoung Kim (Ph. D.)

received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2010 and 2016, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Kookmin University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. From 2016 to 2021, he was a senior engineer with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, and had been working on the standardization of 5G wireless communication systems in 3GPP. Between Mar. 2021 and Aug. 2021, he was a senior researcher with Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, Republic of Korea, and had been working on the development and implementation of moving network for V2X communication. Between Sep. 2021 and Feb. 2024, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Soonchunhyang University, Asan, Republic of Korea. His research interests include developing core technologies for 5G/6G communication systems, physical layer channel design, V2X communication, and 3GPP RAN1 standardization.
