TEACHER APPRECIATION

CHAIRPERSON:

MICHELLE BRINSON

We focus on making sure the teachers and staff feel supported and appreciated. Involvement may look like donating sweet treats and snacks or volunteering in person to setup a meal, helping with Teacher Appreciation Week, or helping with the monthly the Happy Cart treats.

MEDIA CENTER

CHAIRPERSON:

AMY MEDLOCK

We help Ms. Hinger in the Media Center with any needs that she has (book fair, library volunteers, library events).

GARDENS AND GROUNDS

CHAIRPERSON:

RINNE ALLEN

We work with the Ag teacher to take care of the gardens and animals. Recent focus towards advocating for the gardens and courtyards as the new building is planned for. 

STUDENT SUPPORT

We work to support the needs of the students and school community by providing items and financial support as needed.

SCHOOL SPIRIT

We coordinate with the PBIS to help bring supplies/volunteers/ donations/ideas to help with the school incentive days and merit store. We also occasionally go rogue and just come in and do something fun on our own (ie. photo booth for the kids during Spirit Week).

OWL FLIGHT 5K

This committee organizes the Owl Flight 5k, which is the main PTA fundraiser for the year. It is mostly a beginning of the year commitment but after the race, it’s pretty low key.

AWARDS DAY 

CHAIRPERSON:

CAROLYN MORGAN

We help teachers with the end of the year Awards Ceremonies for each grade.  Work for this committee is minimal and happens from March-May with most of it happening in May.

EXECUTIVE

We lead the PTA meetings and oversee all of the committees.
