Pharmacy College professor Rhie Jeong Yeon received the commendation of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
On April 14th Friday, College of Pharmacy professor Rhie Jeong Yeon received the commendation of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the ‘Play True Day’ commemoration event that the Korea Anti-Doping Agency(KADA) opened.
KADA is opening ‘Play True Day’ commemoration events in order to spread the importance of anti-doping and sports values. This year’s event took place in Muan of Jeollanam-do Province, which is the host city for the 2023 National Sports Festival and Disabled Sports Festival.
Professor Rhie Jeong Yeon managed the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics & Paralympics training center’s pharmacy and contributed to supervising prohibited drugs and preventing unintended violation of anti-doping rules. By working as the vice-chairperson of KADA’s investigation committee, she also helped in making a fair sports environment by providing pharmacy-related consultation to information activities. Also, she got credited for her contribution to the anti-doping reinforcement of health-and-medical specialized job groups through participating in the anti-doping education contents production for health-and-medical occupants. Because of this, she was chosen for the ‘2023 minister commendation for merit in the development of sports anti-doping(commendation of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism).’
Professor Rhie Jeong Yeon is the only specialist in the country who has been certified by the IOC’s sports drug education program. She is currently doing research in the infectious disease and sports drug area for the optimization of the clinical adaptation of medicines, and has received a commendation for her contribution in the development of the anti-doping area.

Professor Rhie had an invited webinar lecture by the American Association of College of Pharmacy (AACP) on November 5. Title: Transition to a Pharm.D. Model in Korea.
Professor Rhie was invited to Hypertension Seoul 2020 in conjunction with the 53rd Scientific Meeting of the Korean Society of Hypertension on November 7. Title: Collaboration of Pharmacy and Physician in Hypertension Management.
Professor Rhie was awarded for Excellence Award in Research at the 2020 Conference of Korea Clinical College of Pharmacy (KCCP) by KCCP on November 19.
The 4 undergraduate students, Sira Choi, Youjin Han, Hyunyoung Jung, and Yunjeong Won, presented their research posters after the advanced experiential research rotation at the 2020 Conference of KCCP.
