Format and cleaning code for the Muestra ContĂnua de Vidas Laborales (MCVL)
This is a (academic) lifelong project to keep a repository updated that allows authorised users to clean and process the largest Spanish Administrative dataset on labour market variables. You can find the description of the data and the procedure to request it (in Spanish only) here.
Although other versions of cleaning the code exist, to my knowledge this is the only kept up to date in a Github repository, which means users can interact, ask questions, suggests improvements, or even contribute to the project. In addition to this, it includes some enhancements like allowing for better measurement of unemployment/non-employment, building stocks and flows comparable with the Spanish Labour Force survey, implementing adjustments for contract modifications, early retirement and other host of complications that are tested and robust.
