About Us

Our History

The CCA Peer Tutoring Club was founded in 2015 by a group of five students in the middle of an AP Statistics classroom. Initially named the TOP (Tutoring of Peers) Club, the club quickly found rapport within the CCA community, filling an important niche within the campus environment. TOP eventually grew to include well over fifty tutors and served over two hundred students. As a result of its successes in the CCA community, it began to expand some of its programs to other schools in the district, beginning with students in Carmel Valley Middle School.

In January of 2017, the club reformed into the CCA Peer Tutoring Club in an effort to reinforce its dedication to serving the community. Since then, the club has continued to serve the Canyon Crest student body with tutors in 38 different subjects ranging from languages and humanities to the highest levels of mathematics, seeking to bridge gaps between peers.

Post-pandemic, CCA Peer Tutoring began to serve Pacific Trails Middle School, offering support in a variety of subjects in their after school study session.
