Training materials from the Montgomery County Civil Rights Coalition Many of the public Bystander Intervention trainings in the U.S. since late 2016 have been based on these written materials, which emphasize supporting the target and ignoring the attacker.

Speak Up: Responding to Everyday Bigotry from the Southern Poverty Law Center. "The Southern Poverty Law Center gathered hundreds of stories of everyday bigotry from people across the United States... People spoke about encounters in stores and restaurants, on streets and in schools...They told us what they did or didn't say — and what they wished they did or didn't say." A 47-page PDF version is also available.

How to Intervene as a Bystander online video training from the Speak Out campaign, by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, NYSPCC, jwi.org, and the Avon Foundation for Women. The focus of this material is on preventing domestic violence and sexual assault. Part of an online three-course series.

Bystander Intervention 101 training curriculum from The People's Response Team, Chicago, IL. The document is designed for instructors preparing to offer a training class, and includes multiple role-playing scenarios. Review of Bystander Approaches in Support of Preventing Violence Against Women from VicHealth, Victoria, Australia. "This review focuses on bystander action in relation to preventing violence against women.
