Working for Barnes & Noble and obviously enjoying having my picture taken at an offsite event.
On a trip to New York City with some good friends from work, apparently during my "let the hair stylist do whatever she wanted with my hair" period.
At the wedding of my cousin Chris and his bride Kim. My one and only appearance in a wedding. I knew nobody in the wedding party but the groom!

1999
The year we opened our new Barnes & Noble in Mount Pleasant, SC , I came across a debut novel set on nearby Sullivan's Island. I reached out to the publisher to suggest we do a launch event and that set off an 18 year relationship that changed my life. That launch party lasted 5 hours and ended at an oyster roast and eventually led to my 10 year career in Publishing & Tour Planning.
2002
Mary Alice introduced herself to me one day at my Barnes & Noble store in Mount Pleasant , SC. She lived on the nearby Isle of Palms, and I was thrilled that we had her latest novel up front on display. Our friendship developed and when she was preparing to release her next book, we discussed me reaching out to other coastal B&Ns to set up events for her. The makeshift tour we put together was a success and The Beach House went on to become her first New York Times Bestseller. More books followed and, in 2018, we came full circle when Suzy & I joined Mary Alice's closest friends at Pat & Cassandra Conroy's home for a watch party of the Hallmark Movie debut of The Beach House.
2004
I had enjoyed Tamar Myers' South Carolina Antiques store- based mysteries for years and was thrilled when I met her in my store one day. After years of acquaintance, the idea of my name appearing in one of her books was raised. I was certainly interested - How fun would that be? Fast forward to February 3, 2004. I was enjoying my final week as Manager of the Mount Pleasant Barnes & Noble, on my way to New York City to join the team managing the Rockefeller Center location. Tamar was in my store signing copies of her new mystery, Thou Shalt Not Grill. In it, annoying Bed & Breakfast guest Buzzy Porter was found murdered, beaten with a shovel, stuffed in a washing machine, and thrown in a cave. That day, made-up as a corpse, I joined Tamar at the signing table for a joint Author / Victim Book Signing.
2007
from the Acknowldgements in The Christmas Pearl: "The energy and contagious enthusiasm of many people went into the creation of this book and I would ike to thank them here. First and foremost, my gratitude to Buzzy Porter who encouraged me to write this story in the first place..."

Patti Callahen Henry was the third and final NYT Bestelling author that I planned tours for after leaving HarperCollins. I did a few single book tours or events, but Dot Frank, Mary Alice Monroe, and Patti Callahan Henry were the authors for whom I was an integral part of the Publicity team for multiple books.
2007
The first book that I was primary Publicist on at HarperCollins was Grant Stoddard's debut Working Stiff. It was also the only book I secured an excerpt for in a national magazine. The straight British expat had made a career up to that point pushing sexual boundaries so a feature in leading gay publication OUT was right up his alley.
2001
I was once invited to a launch party for a new book at a historic Charleston Row house downtown on the peninsula. I didn't know it at the time, but the book was destined for greatness. That night I met Sue Monk Kidd, and The Secret LIfe of Bees. After the book landed on the Bestseller list, Sue and husband Sandy would regularly drop by our store for coffee and book signing.

My first trip to DisneyWorld, with a great friend. I loved this pic of me, but it was so unflattering to her that I was unable to show it to anyone for 36 years -until AI came along.

From picture to the right, only big enough to see. This was back when you could see, barely, my teeth when I smiled. One more thing I lost with age.

Susan & I on that same Disney cruise, seen here with our ever-present photographer . I finally demanded he join us for a picture.
