Mrs. Thompson is starting her 11th year teaching and 7th year at Bridges. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University.
Mrs. Thompson enjoys spending time with her husband, Steven (retired Marine), her 2 children, Elise and James, and their Italian exchange student, Amelia. She is also a huge Ghost Pirates hockey fan! She enjoys volunteering at church and cheering on her kids at multiple sporting events, too.

I grew up in Florida and South Carolina and earned my associates degree in Early Childhood Education from the Technical College of the Lowcountry.
I spend my free time with my daughter, Logan, who is going into 8th grade, here at Bridges, by taking her to dance and dance competitions.
I'm looking forward to making this an amazing year together!

Dr. DeWeese is beginning her 12th year in the classroom (4th year as a Buc)! She received her Bachelors from Troy University, her Masters from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and her Doctor of Education from the University of South Carolina.
She loves living in the country with her husband, Brandon (police officer), daughters (EllieKate & Amelia), 4 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, and her donkey, Eeyore.
When not at school, Dr. DeWeese leads a busy, but blessed life with events such as attending church events, leading her church youth group, attending Gamecock games, going to Disney, and watching her daughters compete in cheerleading.

Welcome! This is my 8th year as a First grade TA and I'll be assisting Dr. DeWeese. I'm a military child, so I grew up all over the country and even lived in Europe for a few years. I graduated with a B.S. in Pharmacy, but left the practice to homeschool my three sons who are now grown and gone.
My special interests include travel, architectural history, phonics, and nutrition.
For me, the best thing about teaching is getting to know the new group of little humans every year. I look forward to being a part of your students first grade adventure at Bridges Prep!

I'm originally from Columbia, SC and came down to the lowcountry to further my education at USCB. I graduated with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and decided to make Beaufort my permanant home. This will be my second year at Bridges Prep. Go Bucs!
I have the best parents and 2 older brothers who are my best friends. I love going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my friends and family. I am so excited for this school year and all the memories we will make!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Darius, who is a Field Operations Supervisor at BJWSA. We have 3 children ages 8-12. Bentley, Aubrey, and Finley. We also have a dog named Ellie. I am from Beaufort, SC where I was born and raised. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, going out on the boat, going to Fripp, hunting, fishing, camping, or just relaxing by the pool. I love all things coastal or rustic farmhouse. It's going to be a year full of fun, new friends, learning, and adventures! I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us.

Ms. Howell is super excited to start her 1st year at Bridges Prep! She graduated from USCB and interned here last year in Kindergarten. She can’t wait to bring her passion for learning to her classroom. When she's not teaching, she loves spending time outdoors, exploring new places in the area, and staying active. She's looking forward to getting to know all of you and making this year a fantastic experience together!

Hi families! I'm Ms. Thompson (Yes, there are 2 of us in First). I am so excited about this new school year and look forward to working alongside Ms. Howell to help support your children's learning and growth and building positive relationships with them.
I have 2 amazing daughters that also attend Bridges.
We have a love for outdoor activities, traveling, animals, and spending quality time together!
