The Federal Council

The Federal Council is the unicameral legislative body in Alsann. In other words, it is the place that passes laws. The Council is divided into voting districts, to which one member is elected every six months.

Voting Districts

Voting districts are areas by which members are elected to the Council. They do not cross state lines, but may cross Federal Districts. There are three voting districts, as well as two federal voting districts, where all citizens may vote. The voting districts are the districts of Kersika, Aeonia and Flinders. The federal voting districts are Ithyca and Capis.

The Officer-General

The Officer-General of Alsann is Kalan Cameron del Kersika. The Officer-General is the executive branch in Alsann. They have the power to issue executive orders, and act as the highest rank in the military. The Officer-General is a non-elected role which is passed down through a successor appointed by the current Officer-General. The incumbent Officer-General is typically referred to as Officer-General del Kersika.

The Federal System

Alsann is run on the federal system. This basically means the states can govern themselves in whatever fashion provided they adhere to some federal regulations.

Alsann is in a federal system, meaning that it is composed of states. States can govern themselves mostly as they choose, however most fit into the Alsane Federal goverment model (uniameral legislature, not-directly-elected executive). The state is the highest level of Alsane subdivision. Alsann's national total land area is 10.16 square kilometres.

Aeonia

Aeonia is by far the most historical state in Alsann, hailing from the beginning of the Concordian Republic. It is currently the largest state, close to double the size of Ithyca. It is ruled over by the Representative for Aeonia, Military Division cheif Commander H Norman. It is split into three major sections, the 129,000 square metre Ibisca, the 295,000 square metre Mills and the 5,318,500 square metre Banyowla. The largest city and capital is Armisak, east of Banyowla.

Flinders

The state of Flinders also has historical significance, however in a different way. Its solitary town as of mid November is its capital, Austeria, at 620 square metres. Nearby, Britannia and Monger straddle the Mitchell Freeway and together measure 190,500 square metres. It also includes the South Flinders Islands and Little Flinders near Augusta and Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia. It is governed by the Representative for Flinders,  Premier of the Federal Council Ozren Ceklic.

Territories are a subdivision of Alsann, equally as prominent as states, however under federal control with limited self-governance. Territories are typically ruled over by a federally-appointed Administrator. Territories are generally created whilst areas are awaiting statehood, or when the area's population can't economically sustain itself. There is just one in Alsann, after two were removed in territorial reorganisation.

Goolamrup

Goolamrup is the only territory of the Alsann Republic, measuring at 39,500 square metres. It is directly governed by Officer-General del Kersika, and is the closest territory to any other Alsane possessions, at an approximately equal distance from Kersika and Aeonia.

Alsann's capital is the City of Kersika, south of Banyowla. It is located within the Kersik Federal District, and is home to the Officer-General as well as the Federal Council.

Kersika

The City of Kersika is the capital of the Alsann Republic, and the legal home of all three branches of Alsann's government.
