Why Europe?

LESS THAN 2% CLAIM TO KNOW JESUS

Europe is Unreached

Almost every village, town and city across Europe contain less than 2% of committed followers of Jesus Christ. Every city is punctuated by stunning churches, but very few are home to thriving groups of Christians. Few people have been befriended by genuine disciples of Jesus.

Europe is Ready

It is time for Europe. The economic, political, and immigration turmoil across the continent has rocked the foundation of many indigenous Europeans. Many declare crisis, we proclaim opportunity. The Church in Europe is ready for a new discipleship movement. Old and New Europeans are ready to meet Jesus and his followers.

Europe is Critical

Europe is the intersection of world cultures. It has been the historically influential epicenter for learning, philosophy, art, architecture and religion for more than 2000 years. Now, with the ongoing refugee crisis, reaching Europe is critically strategic for world revival more than ever before.

Spain has had an amazing transformation since 1978. It abandoned a dictatorship for democratic rule, moved from poverty towards wealth, integrated into Europe, and increased religious freedom. But economic progress also brought greed for possessions and self-indulgent lifestyles. Sexual immorality, prostitution, and abortion now are common, and Spain has one of the lowest birth rates in the world. These problems combine with depression, debt, substance abuse, and a general erosion of moral foundations to plant the seeds of future problems for society. Pray for Spain to wake up to the lies that have blinded it to the truth of the gospel.

Reach Europe. Reach the World

With you to change the world with the gospel

Pedro was born in Seville and Viky in Barcelona. We meet each other at church when Pedro moved to Barcelona and we got married in November 1986. Our first child, Dan, was born in 1992, and our second, Rut in 1998. Dan got married to Abigail in October 2016, and Rut got married to Rubèn in October 2022. In 2007/08 we went through a year of training at Forest Springs camp, in Westboro, Wisconsin, with their program called LTD (Leadership, Training and Development). This is an accredited college curriculum course for camping ministry. After being graduated from that, we spend another year in the USA raising our support. And in May 2009 we get back to Spain, to start working full-time in ministry.

We are passionately engaged in service within our homeland, Spain, a nation with an urgent need of the gospel. Our vision is to see our country embracing a connection with God.

At Oldstars, our focus are evangelism and discipleship. We want to reach our own generation through special activities for people over 50. Our love for nature drives us to offer all kinds of leisure activities. Throughout these experiences, we can teach Bible values in an immersive manner, allowing participants to encounter God in a fresh, unique, and holistic way.

Additionally, we extend our compassion to nursing homes, where we can share the love of Jesus with the residents.

It's a beautiful task that can make a significant difference in their lives.

We spend time with the elderly. We listen to their stories, share moments, and care about their well-being. Loneliness is often a challenge for the elderly, and your presence can be a valuable gift.

We pray for them and offer words of encouragement.

Crafts and activities is a great way to connect with seniors, just enjoying creative activities together. As they work on projects, you can also share stories of faith and hope.

Hear. Sometimes, the most important thing is simply to listen. Allow them to express their joys, worries, and fears. Be compassionate and show empathy.

In the heart of Oldstars is a commitment to proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ, working in harmony with the local church. Our mission involves both, exhorting and encouraging those around us, as we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those we encounter.
