The Board will seek out a senior ADC Club teacher, who has taught in the ADC Club (or former ADCC) program for at least two years to serve as a mentor to the ASTP teacher.

Student and Parent Code of Conduct

The Acadia Dance Community Club (ADCClub) is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where dance students can learn, share and be challenged. It is the role of the dance instructor to ensure that this environment is maintained in each and every class. Disrespectful or disruptive behavior or language in class is not appropriate and will not be tolerated. Disruptive classroom conduct, chronic tardiness and inappropriate behavior or appearance may result in dismissal from class.

The ADCClub is run by volunteers. Dance instructors are paid to teach but also support the Club by volunteering their time beyond the classes they teach. Please be courteous in your dealings with our volunteers, instructors and board members. Parents displaying disrespectful or inflammatory behavior or conduct will be asked to leave the studio and such behavior may result in the discharge of their child from the class and program.

We ask all dance students to comply with the following:

  • Arrive on time for class and rehearsal.

  • Be ready for class when you arrive.

  • Do not wear jewelry, other than small earrings during class.

  • Remove all street shoes BEFORE entering the dance studio space.

  • Leave your belongings, other than valuables, outside the studio space.

  • Do not bring electronic devices into the studio (cell phone, iPods, mp3-players). If you do not have a safe place to put the item please leave it with the instructor at the beginning of class.

  • Respect all studio equipment (no hanging off or leaning against barres and do not touch the sound/stereo system)
