Biography

Pham Thanh, a native of Thanh Hoa, Vietnam, is a visionary architect who has left a significant mark on the construction industry. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Assumption University (ABAC) in Bangkok, Thailand, between 2003 and 2008. His career began as a 3D architect at SMEC Vietnam from May 2008 to April 2009, where he developed a keen interest in digital modeling technologies.

Thanh’s career gained momentum at Constrexim ICC in Hanoi, where he worked from April 2009 to October 2014, progressing from Design Architect to Vice Director of the Design Center. Understanding that technical skills alone were not enough to achieve his entrepreneurial goals, he pursued an MBA at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management from 2010 to 2012, skillfully balancing his studies with his professional duties. His expertise spans architectural design, BIM technology, business management, and fluency in English, forming a robust foundation for his ambitions.

Founding ViBIM

In October 2014, Thanh established ViBIM (Vietnam BIM Consultancy and Technology Application Company Limited) in Hanoi, where he serves as Founder and CEO. Starting with a modest team of three, he ventured into BIM outsourcing for the global market, driven by his belief in BIM as the future of construction.

“My passion for the transformative potential of BIM in the construction design industry fueled my decision to start ViBIM,” Thanh reflects. “Pursuing this vision, despite its challenges, was a defining moment. Embracing change has shaped my career and reflects my commitment to advancing the industry and society.”

While growing ViBIM, Thanh also played a key role in shaping national BIM standards as a member of the Vietnam Official BIM Steering Committee at the Ministry of Construction from 2014 to 2019. This dual contribution strengthened both his company and the industry at large.

Under Thanh’s leadership, ViBIM has evolved from a small startup to a reputable firm with 30 professionals, serving clients in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, Canada, and parts of the European Union.
