Meet Helga!
The University of Minnesota Extension has recently acquired Helga, a training cow that can mimic dystocia. Helga's debut will be at the Conference!
To get up close and personal with Helga, there will be a sign-up at the conference. The sign-up will be in 30-minute intervals with Dr. Joe and Helga which will allow you to experience her as an educational tool to learn about the delivery of a calf. You will be able to feel and touch in uteri with what's normal and what's not, as well as signs of mastitis after the calf is born.
Other conference resources/opportunities:
If you'll be traveling for the conference on Monday, we also invite you to an informal dinner at Legends Bar and Grill located in the hotel on Monday evening, Feb. 5, at 6:00 p.m. If you're able to attend, please RSVP to Elaine at wagne079@umn.edu. This dinner is not included in your registration fee.
A lactation/baby feeding room will be available during the conference.
