I have in the past supervised a project as part of the Mathematical Computing Laboratory (MCL) at UIC (see this page for details). Each semester the MCL offers a number of group research projects that combine mathematics and computing in some way. As a fellows of the UIC Honors College I am available to supervise Honors Capstone projects. This would most likely consist of reading of a mathematical text or paper that goes beyond the usual undergraduate curriculum, along with working out some examples possibly on computer. Please get in touch if you are interested in doing this.
