Liang Ma

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow working at the Open Data Centre for Alberta Urban Real Estate. I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Alberta. My research interests are in areas of monetary economics and financial economics.

My job market paper uses high-frequency financial data to study the impact of unconventional monetary policies with a focus on the "Fed information effect." I show that the information effect, while it may introduce a small bias, is rather modest. This paper has been accepted for publication in the International Review of Economics & Finance.
