What is the C.A.R.E. Program?

This program was started in 2017 as a part of TUSD’s effort to increase social and emotional supports and access to mental health

services to all students.

As of the 2020-2021 school year, we have licensed mental health clinicians (also called Student Support Clinicians) serving every TUSD school site.

C.A.R.E. Mental Health Clinicians provide:

Assessment for mental health conditions/diagnoses

Development of treatment plans to address problematic symptoms

Treatment interventions through direct counseling services

Provider referrals to other supportive services

Crisis intervention

Consultation and education on mental health topics
