Board of Trustees
The Ghostlight Players are looking for people with positivity and a passion for our mission to join our board of trustees! We have an immediate open seat on the board and several open positions for 2023-24.
Board members make a difference at The Ghostlight Players. Our Board of Trustees guides our strategic direction and our long-term sustainability. Their leadership helps ensure our vision and values and our commitment to excellence.
Board members work collaboratively with other members and the volunteers. They are expected to contribute in ways that match their interests, abilities, talents, and connections.
Current Openings
We value a broad range of personal and professional backgrounds. At this time, we are especially seeking people with experience working in: Fundraising, Marketing and Social Media Management.
Duties for all members include:
§ Preparing for, attending, and participating in monthly meetings of the Board. During COVID-19, some of our meetings have taken the form of video calls rather than traditional in-person meetings.
§ Actively participating via membership on one board committee
§ Supporting staff with fundraising events / promoting and advocating for fundraising initiatives
§ Leveraging support from others through the organization’s fundraising efforts
§ Participating in the identification and recruitment of potential new board members
· Monitors The Ghostlight Players’ vision and mission
· Advocates The Ghostlight Players mission in the community
· Provides consulting in the areas of personal and professional expertise
· Maintains the confidentiality of information received
· Ensures that The Ghostlight Players operates within its bylaws
