What is a Specialist High Skills Major?

SHSM is a specialized program which allows students to focus their learning on a specific sector, while meeting the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. This program will assist students in their transition from high school to apprenticeship, college, university or the workplace.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Newtonbrook has 2 Certificate Programs to help students direct their studies in the area that is of interest to them.

1. Arts: Creative Design and Production

2. Athletics and Healthy Living

Students will gain a number of experiences that will expand their exposure to the Sciences, Arts and Athletics.
