Google Apps for Education (GAFE)
G-Suite - Google Apps for Education
All students from Grades 1-12 in the TDSB have G-Suite accounts. Students can change the language to French within each app. This allows students to practice reading and writing in French.
These apps foster students' global competencies and the skills that are needed of 21st century learners, such as collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, global citizenship, and communication. To access these tools, students must log in to Google Chrome using their TDSB account.
Popular apps used in the French classrooms include:
Docs
Slides
Forms
Drawings
Classroom
Hangouts

Accessing and Using Google Classroom & G-Suite
Educators may choose to use Google Classroom or Brightspace as a platform to facilitate learning and communication. Your child's educator(s) will support you in accessing and using Google Classroom. Please note that within Brightspace, students will still be able to access G-Suite Tools (e.g. Google docs, Slides, etc...).
