Part of the Celtic Quiet Places

During the period from the 5th to the 8th Century AD, young British men and women travelled through the Western lands of Britain and Gaul, taking the good news of the Gospel to all who would listen. As they travelled they found quiet, 'out of the way' places to stay, where they could spend time alone with Christ. Over the years churches were built in these special places. Many are still in isolated locations: some are now in the centre of busy towns. All provide an oasis of quiet which they would like to share with you.

Leadership

The church of St Mellanus, St Mellion, PL12 6RG is in the village centre, just off the A388 Saltash to Calllington Road.

Please help us to fund the repair to the clock tower.  The clocktower floor has been declared dangerous, which means that winding the St Mellion clock has become unsafe.  Although the actual cost of repair is not yet known we are assembling funds in anticipation.
