History & Law Academy

The American History and Law Program promotes the study and appreciation of American history and the legal framework that has helped to define it. It is a program designed to promote knowledge and appreciation of American political, cultural, and legal foundations.


In order to be a part of the Entrepreneurship Academy each year, students need to be enrolled in one of the following classes:

  • Constitutional Law Honors

  • Comprehensive Law Honors

  • International Relations/Internship Honors

  • AP Government/AP Comparative Government

Students in the American History and Law Academy have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to draft and debate congressional legislation

  • Learn how to write a legal brief

  • Participate in mock trials

  • Participate in moot court simulations

  • Participate in National History Day

  • Obtain a Law Internship during Senior year

  • Participate in county-level Mock Trial Competition

  • Apply to serve on the Congressional Youth Cabinet

  • Join the debate team and Model UN
