The 6th Grade Team:

Miss Swanson: Writing

Mrs. Ford: Math

Mrs. Manciero: Science & SS

Students will see all three teachers for their subject in 50 minute blocks, and will have Reader's Workshop with their homeroom teacher.

Google Classroom Login

I always use Google Classroom to share many of the things we see, use, and work on in class. Students will need to use it as a resource.

To login:

Students need their user name: first name, first 4 letters of their last name, and the year they were born - 08,09,10... (i.e. jacobdegr88). At home, they need to enter it as jacobdegr88@stratk12.org since they are not already on our network.

Their password is their lunch number.

Welcome to Room 19!

Our sixth grade classroom at Wilcoxson School is home to 20 of the world's greatest 6th graders! At Wilcoxson, we work hard to always have a positive attitude, act responsibly, work together, and stay safe.

In our classroom, we work hard to learn new skills and strategies that help us to become independent and creative readers, thinkers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists, musicians, and all-around awesome people. We also work just as hard to lead the way with kindness, and to become helpful members of our school community.

Literacy

We utilize the Teachers' College Reading and Writing Project workshop model for literacy instruction at Wilcoxson School. Students are familiar with Readers' and Writers' Workshop, from their experience in fifth grade.
