About Me

I am excited to serve the St. Clair Elementary as in the capacity as the Special Education Case Manager. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. After teaching in an alternative setting for 9 years, I went back to graduate school to obtain my Specific Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. As I was studying for these licenses, I discovered that I really love teaching Reading, so I picked up that license as well.

My classroom is a very busy place. Many times there are several lessons being taught and worked on at the same time. The reason for this is that every lesson is individually based and designed for a specific student's needs. On occasion, we are able to form small groups with students who have similar needs. In order to make this system work, several support personnel come together to maximize student achievement. The Minnesota Valley Education District (MVED) serves as a resource for services that are not housed within St. Clair School.
