YEAR SIX GIVES SWIMMING THE THUMBS UP. HERE THEY ARE PREPARING FOR THE WALK TO POOLS ON THE PARK FOR A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON SWIM. ALL CHILDREN SHOULD BE ABLE TO SWIM BY THE TIME THEY MOVE ON TO SECONDARY SCHOOL. HOWEVER, COVID AND LOCKDOWN MEANT MANY CHILDREN HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REACH THIS MILESTONE. ALL OUR YEAR SIX CHILDREN ARE HAVING A SWIMMING SESSION TO FIND OUT IF THEY NEED SOME MORE LESSONS. THOSE WHO DO WILL GET A TERM OF LESSONS THIS YEAR. THIS WILL ALSO APPLY TO YEAR FIVE.

A JAUNT TO STRAWBERRY HILL HOUSE FOR YEAR TWO

A trip to beautiful Strawberry Hill House saw our Year One children learning all about portraits. Their workshop on 'Marvellous Miniatures' looked at all the portraits collected by Horace Walpole, big and small, for Strawberry Hill House. The children each produced their own pictures - of themselves, a family member or a pet. These were then mounted on bejewelled boxes for them to take home. They will build on this work back in the classroom when producing their own self-portraits in the coming weeks.

CRAFTY TIMES AT ST STEPHEN'S STARS

Our children are having lots of fun at St Stephen's Stars. Games and crafty projects are the order of the day. Take a look at this wonderful ladybug Madi made at a recent club session.
