WELCOME!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Lendt and I am the full time Elementary School Counselor at Bear Cave Intermediate School. I am excited to be back at BCI full time this year! I look forward to working with each of your students throughout the school year.
I have a Master's of Science in Counselor Education-School Counseling from Winona State University. I am a licensed K-12 School Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I also received my B.A. from Winona State University in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies. (Go Warriors!!!) This is my tenth year in Stewartville and am anticipating another exciting year!
I look forward to getting to know you and your student over the course of the 24-25 school year. I am here to support your child with any and ALL academic, career and personal/social aspects of their lives while they are at school. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Elementary School Counselors Role
Support ALL students in areas of social emotional, academics and career development
Teach full classroom counseling lessons on topics such as; friendship, feeling identification, bullying, empathy, conflict resolution, growth mindset and career exploration
Assists with crisis intervention
Supports students one on one
Conducts small groups
Consults with parents and teachers
Coordinates elementary 504 plans
