Ms. Combs-Cawley

Hello!  My name is Becca Combs-Cawley and this is my 11th year at Stewartville Middle School.

I am in my 18th year as an educator, having worked in Fort Wayne and Nashville, Indiana; at Cotter High School in Winona, and at Eveleth-Gilbert Schools, in Minnesota. I have taught general music, band, choir, and even spent a year as an Outdoor Educator.  

I am a 2007 graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana.  While there, I majored in Music Education.  As a tubist, I played with the Butler University Athletic Bands, Concert Band, and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble.  A few of my favorite performance opportunities were playing in St Petersburg, Russia with the Butler Concert Bands; at NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments with the Butler Basketball Band; and playing in numerous Tuba-Christmas and Octuba Events.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing music (tuba and guitar), camping, biking, and hanging out with my dog, Danger. I currently play with my rocking brass band, Loud Mouth Brass, with several other musicians in Rochester.  I also play in the Rochester Community Band,  and I help conduct  Rochester's TubaChristmas.
